Grounds maintenance built to perform

Culina Group found themselves without a grounds maintenance provider during the height of the growing season while conducting a full facilities management tender process.

With 65 sites across the UK, all extremely busy and handling high vehicle traffic, it was essential that outdoor areas remained safe and compliant. As a high-profile brand, Culina also needed their sites to be consistently well-presented throughout all seasons.

Without immediate support, the group faced potential compliance risks, increased maintenance backlog, and disruption to daily operations.

Countrywide was engaged as one of the suppliers in the facilities management tender and asked if we could provide immediate support on a short-term basis.

We produced a contract-wide quotation covering all 65 sites and mobilised our teams within four weeks. Work commenced on 1st July 2025, delivering scheduled grass cutting, weed spraying, leaf clearance, and litter picking.

To address the two-month gap in maintenance, we carried out initial remedial works at most sites to bring them up to specification before transitioning into routine scheduled maintenance. Ad-hoc works, including hedge cutting, tree work, vegetation clearance, and VIP site tidying, were also completed as required.

By rapidly mobilising across a national portfolio, Countrywide ensured Culina’s sites were compliant, safe, and visually maintained while their Head Office focused on the facilities management tender.
